ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) provides world-class leadership development while providing students with full tuition, a book stipend and more.

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University’s NROTC battalion consists of more than 70 midshipmen, under the advisement of an active duty staff of highly trained and motivated sailors and marines. Known for its dedication to excellence, motivation and pride, ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ NROTC has provided our nation with the finest Navy and Marine Corps officers for more than 50 years.

In the Annual Report, you will find photos of all of our major battalion events, with a little bit of fun sprinkled in. All of the blurbs are written by our battalion's midshipmen, from graduated seniors to newly promoted 3/C MIDN, to give an honest perspective of passion and pride. The Annual Report team worked hard to compile a year's worth of accomplishments, trainings, and ceremonies into just a few pages. We offer the final product as a glimpse into what your support helps this unit accomplish.

NEWS & EVENTS

SUMMER SEMINAR

Rising high school seniors can participate in a four-night/four-day on-campus experience with the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program during the summer. This opportunity provides young men and women a better understanding of the balance between college life and the NROTC scholarship commitment. Apply by May 13!

FALL BALL

In celebration of the Navy and Marine Birthdays the annual Fall Ball brings together the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ battalion and staff. Celebrated in October or November, it is a military and social gathering that includes ceremonial drill and cake cutting, dinner, drinks, dancing and music.

MILITARY EXCELLENCE COMPETITIONS

During Military Excellence Competitions (MECs) military units compete against one another in physical activities and military skills. NROTC units from all over the region attend, creating a high level of competition while fostering camaraderie and teamwork amongst future coworkers and shipmates.

NROTC GALA

The NROTC Gala is an event in celebration of the Senior Service Selection and fundraiser for the PJ Harrington Fund. Contributions to the fund support Military Excellence Competitions, bonding activities and learning opportunities for our students.

BIANNUAL PARADES

At end of the each semester, the Battalion of Midshipmen conduct a formal parade. Parades are a visual presentation of the military discipline, professionalism and teamwork necessary to succeed as a member of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Historically, ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ has been conducting parades for decades.
