The McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy Hosts Inaugural Summer Fellowship Program

In summer 2020, the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy held its inaugural Summer Fellowship Program. The McCullen Center offered six internship placements to students in the areas of constitutional law, the role of religion in civil society, and the promotion of human dignity and the common good. The program also offered 12 research assistantships to students who wished to conduct research projects under faculty supervision on issues related to the intersection of law, religion and public policy.

New Constitutional Studies Initiative to examine the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and religion

The new initiative is part of the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy at the Charles Widger School of Law.ÌýStudents and scholars will explore the significance of the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and religion, as well as the relationship between economic freedom and civil society, through a new Constitutional Studies Initiative.Ìý

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Appoints Michael P. Moreland, JD, PhD, as University Professor of Law and Religion

Dr. Moreland also appointed Director of the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy at ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Charles Widger School of Law.ÌýÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Provost Patrick G. Maggitti, PhD, today announced the appointment of Michael P. Moreland, JD, PhD, as University Professor of Law and Religion.Ìý

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Charles Widger School of Law Names the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy in Recognition of Gifts Totaling $5 Million

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Charles Widger School of Law announced today that its Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy will be named in honor of Eleanor H. McCullen, recognizing recent gifts totaling $5 million from her husband, Joseph T. McCullen Jr. ’57 CLAS.Ìý
