Leads the education, research and practice of business analytics

The Center for Business Analytics is proud to play an important role in driving the value of strategic business decisions through evolving analytics tools and research. We partner with faculty across the University to share in best practices, innovations, and applications to deliver a Business Analytics curriculum with a practice-based approach for a rapidly growing student population.

Through the outreach with invested alumni, corporate partners and friends, the Center continually seeks input for factors that employers consider when hiring new and seasoned employees. Our Advisory Councils assist in keeping VSB aware of the latest trends across the Analytics spectrum.

The CBA is committed to hosting guest lectures and presentations from key influencers representing organizations who have developed strategic analytics practices and disruptive technologies. Events hosted by the center are open to students across the university, as well as alumni and interested friends in the community.

ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Center for Business Analytics (CBA) Advisory Council is a senior-level, invitation-only forum that assists CBA leadership in connecting analytical theory to analytics practice. Membership in the Advisory Council is an ongoing educational experience and a forum for executive networking.

ASSOCIATE ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Advisory Council consists of executive leaders working in the field of analytics who serve as connectors and a sounding board for the Center’s strategic initiatives. The following Associate Members are young analytics professionals who are building their careers and can provide real-time support and guidance to our students planning to enter the field. Many of our Associate Advisory Council members are graduates of VSB’s MBA and MS programs and provide excellent insight to the trends and demands for students entering the digital space for the first time or transitioning to analytics strategy roles. They assist with most of the CBA student-facing events and training with the Business Analytics Society
