LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Manuela Priesemuth, PhD, associate professor, Management & Operations, has been named the inaugural VSB Faculty Director for Ethics and Social Responsibility
In this new role, Dr. Priesemuth will work to advance, advocate and track implementation of ethics, social responsibility and sustainability content across curricular and extra-curricular activities. She will collaborate with key stakeholders within VSB, across the university, and among external constituencies to ensure that VSB students are exposed to the range of perspectives related to ethics, social responsibility and sustainability, and are well-versed in ethical decision-making and responsible leadership practice.
VSB Recognized for Real Estate Research Productivity
VSB’s Finance & Real Estate Department ranked #16 among US colleges and universities in real estate research productivity in the top three real estate journals (Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and Journal of Real Estate Research). Additionally, Benjamin Scheick, PhD, ’03 VSB, The Hovnanian Family Endowed Chair in Real Estate; Associate Professor, Finance & Real Estate; and Faculty Director, DiLella Center for Real Estate, ranked in the Top 25 for individual research productivity according to the 2021 Real Estate Academic Leadership (REAL) Rankings. The REAL rankings highlight faculty and university contributions to the field of real estate research from 2017-2021 and this ranking firmly positions VSB as a leader in real estate education.

Associate Professor Lucy Chen, PhD points to the global network that VSB is a part of, having run into a fellow ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥n across the globe in China. In her own field of accounting, Professor Chen believes that the beauty of accounting lies in being able to communicate ideas in a quantitative way, and thereby has the ability to understand business in a number-oriented way.
