Four alumnae honored at 27th Annual Mass and Alumni Awards Ceremony

The achievements of four distinguished alumnae were celebrated on April 2 during the College of Nursing鈥檚 27th Annual Mass and Alumni Awards Ceremony held in the St. Thomas of 奶糖直播 Church. M. Louise Fitzpatrick, EdD, RN, FAAN, Connelly Endowed Dean and Professor, bestowed the College鈥檚 highest award, its Medallion on:
鈥 Margaret Robins Garrett 鈥72 BSN, JD received the Medallion for Distinguished Contributions to Quality and Safety in Health Care. She is senior counsel; practice group leader; and senior director of risk management, patient care, regulatory and ethics in the Legal Department of the Johns Hopkins Health System and a former member of the College鈥檚 Board of Consultors.
鈥 Christina Larson Kelly 鈥74 BSN, MSN received the Medallion for Distinguished Contributions to the College. She is founder and president of Larson Financial Planning, Inc. and a former member of the College鈥檚 Board of Consultors.
鈥 Janet Nash 鈥08 MSN, PhD received the Medallion for Distinguished Leadership in Nursing and Health Care Administration. She is immediate past vice president, Patient Care Services at Paoli Hospital, Main Line Health System.
Dean Fitzpatrick also recognized the achievements of Catherine Loper McDonald 鈥00 BSN, PhD with the College鈥檚 Emerging Scholar Award. An assistant professor in the University of Pennsylvania鈥檚 School of Nursing, Dr. McDonald researches adolescent injury prevention and health promotion.
