The power of resolutions
Senior Lisa Novak has been selected as chairperson of the 2013-2014 National Resolutions Committee of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). Lisa served as a member of the 2012-2013 National Resolutions Committee. Her new role will include advising and mentoring committee members and resolutions authors from across the country, as well as chairing the committee and the resolutions' sessions at the 2014 NSNA convention in Nashville, Tenn.
鈥淚 am very excited to serve on the 2013-2014 NSNA Resolutions Committee and hope to work together with the members of the NSNA this year to bring forth effective and important nursing related issues,鈥 says Lisa. 鈥淩esolutions are based on issues related to nursing students, the nursing profession, and health, thereby directing the work of the NSNA,鈥 she notes. Lisa became interested in this position when she attended nursing conventions. She recalls, 鈥淚 saw how powerful resolutions were as they allow nursing students to voice their opinions and as they strengthen the organization as a whole.鈥
