ORIENTATION ARRIVAL

New Student Orientation for the Class of 2028 begins Wednesday, Aug. 21 (Move-In Day), with Orientation running from Thursday, Aug. 22 through Sunday, Aug. 25.

Yes! Students needing to ship their belongings to campus may do so in early August. Specific mailing instructions will be posted in July.

Please visit the Office for Residence Life website for more information.

*Please note that only one MicroFridge or refrigerator/microwave is permitted per room.

Once you drop your belongings at your residence hall, you will be directed to an appropriate parking lot by the Department of Public Safety. It is vital to move your car once it has been unloaded. This will help decrease the wait time for families.

WHILE YOU'RE HERE

New Students will eat all their meals with their Orientation Group during the 4-day program. Please download the  for a complete list of campus dining service options that are available for families while on campus.

During move-in, the TechZone will provide assistance and instruction for getting computers connected to the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ network. You may call our Help Desk at (610) 519-7777 or check the TechZone website.

The Family and Parent website has a list of area hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Essential hall items are available on-campus for students. We also list many local area stores and malls for your convenience.

Anyone needing assistance should contact an Orientation staff member and our ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Emergency Medical Service (VEMS) will be contacted immediately. Students or family members can also contact Public Safety at (610) 519-4444 anytime.

Try to make arrangements with your child before coming to ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ for a contact plan. For instance, you could ask your child to give a quick call home each day, even if they're doing just fine. Orientation activities can keep new students busy from early morning to late in the evening, but each day has scheduled down time for new students that may provide time to check in with loved ones.
