  • Foundations Of Systems Biology in Engineering
  • American Education Research Association
  • Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology Meeting
  • Wilson Ornithological Society

How to Apply

Students must complete the CRF Conference Travel Grant Application in the link below. When completing the form, please be sure to attach (1) the abstract you submitted to the conference, (2) documentation from the conference confirming that you will present at the conference, and (3) an itemized budget of anticipated expenses (i.e. registration fee for the conference, hotel, transportation, food).

Funding will not be provided for students who will not be presenting research at a conference. Funding may be provided to graduating seniors in the summer and fall following graduation provided that the student completed the research as an undergraduate. This grant is for undergraduate students only. The selection committee will evaluate proposals after the following deadlines: June 1, September 1, December 1, and March 1. Under exceptional circumstances, some applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis outside of these deadlines.

Research and Travel Grant

The ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Undergraduate Research Advisory Board assesses proposals to provide support for established research programs such as DAAD-RISE and IAESTE. This grant is intended to support undergraduate students engaging in established programs in which undergraduate research is the focus. This grant is restricted to undergraduates; students who have graduated are ineligible.

Students seeking to conduct an independent research project should apply for a ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Undergraduate Research Fellows (VURF) Grant. CRF Research and Travel Grants are not intended to supplement VURF grants (i.e., travel for fieldwork). Such requests will be assessed on a case-by-case and limited basis.

How to Apply

To apply for a CRF Research and Travel Grant, students must submit a budget, resume and one-page statement of grant purpose detailing his or her interest in the program. The applicant should include how the program informs the student’s goals, whether the student has applied for or received other sources of funding and a statement that he or she will assist in CRF outreach to share the experience with other ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ students. Please submit all Research and Travel Grant applications to Catherine Stecyk.

For Summer, all Research and Travel Grant applications are due by April 15. Decisions will be communicated no later than May 1.

Funding is contingent upon the student’s completion of the Responsible Conduct of Research training.
