University Leadership Updates
June 20, 2023
Dear Members of the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Community,
I am writing to share two key organizational updates, which are effective immediately.
Vice President for Human Resources and Affirmative Action Officer
Ray Duffy, MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CBP, who has served as Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Affirmative Action Officer since 2019, has been promoted to Vice President. In this role, Ray will become an Officer of the University and a member of my leadership team. He will continue to serve as the University’s Chief Human Resources Officer, providing strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s human resources function.
During his tenure at ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥, Ray has established excellent working relationships across the University, highlighted most recently by his work helping the University navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous recruitment and retention programs for ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty and staff, and the expansion of the Human Resources office to better serve our University community. Prior to joining ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ in 2010, his experience includes several years overseeing employee benefits for Christiana Care Health System, as well as managing benefit administration services at both Hewitt Associates (Aon) and Towers Perrin (Willis Towers Watson). Ray earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University.
Chief Internal Auditor and University Compliance Officer
Courtney Henry, CIA, MBA, CHC, has been appointed as Chief Internal Auditor and University Compliance Officer. In this role, Courtney, who most recently served as Chief Internal Auditor, will continue to oversee and monitor the internal audit function of the University in compliance with applicable policies, laws and auditing standards. She will now also lead the University Compliance Office and its compliance program in accordance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the University’s strategic plan and mission.Â
Courtney is a Certified Internal Auditor, bringing nearly 20 years of experience to her new role. Her prior audit experience includes several years at higher education institutions, including Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania, and Nemours Children’s Health System. Courtney received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from West Chester University, a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University, and a Master of Studies of Law from Wake Forest University.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank E. Michael Zubey, Jr. Vice President and General Counsel, for acting as the Interim University Compliance Officer.
Please join me in congratulating Ray and Courtney on their new appointments. I am very pleased to have two individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Augustinian Catholic mission and values in these key leadership roles.
Sincerely,
Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA
President
