Beginning spring 2023, ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law alum Peter Groverman, Esq. ’10, co-founder and vice chairman of Grovara, the leading B2B global marketplace for wellness brands, will serve as the second-ever entrepreneur in residence (EIR) for ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law’s John F. Scarpa Center for Entrepreneurship and Law. Groverman is also co-CEO of Product Search Live, executive director of BFY Media, owner of Stretch Gallery and founder of the R.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation.
Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean of the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Charles Widger School of Law, has appointed MarySheila McDonald as the new John F. Scarpa Professor of Entrepreneurship. A leader, scholar and innovator, she comes to ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ from the La Salle University School of Business where she served as dean since 2017.
ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University President, the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, announced a $15 million gift from the John F. Scarpa Foundation to further elevate the Charles Widger School of Law as a leader in entrepreneurship and law, in addition to strengthening entrepreneurial expertise, innovative thinking and collaboration across the University. In recognition of Scarpa’s lifetime giving of more than $20 million to ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥, the Law School building will be named John F. Scarpa Hall.
ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University School of Law announced that John F. Scarpa, former Co-Chairman and Founder of American Cellular Network Corporation, and his wife, Jana, have committed $5 million for the naming of The John F. Scarpa Center for Law and Entrepreneurship.
