Moorad currently serves as chairman and CEO of Moorad Sports Partners, partner at Morgan, Lewis, and Bockius LLP and adjunct professor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. His career spanning success began with founding Moorad Sports Management in 1983, where he focused on athlete representation throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Two years later, Moorad joined his law partner, Leigh Steinberg, to form the remarkably successful firm, Steinberg & Moorad. During the agency’s tenure, they maintained the largest client practice in the National Football League for more than 15 years, along with the second-largest Major League Baseball practice in the industry, representing notable athletes like Troy Aikman, Manny Ramirez and CC Sabathia
Beyond serving as one of the sports industry’s most prominent player representatives, Moorad was also a decorated executive within Major League Baseball, both as an owner and CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks beginning in 2004 and as CEO and vice-chairman of the San Diego Padres in 2009. After his time in the front office, Moorad founded Moorad Sports Partners in 2013 and formed MSP Sports Capital with fellow partners in 2019, both sports investment companies.
A dedicated philanthropist, Moorad has always placed a heightened importance on a devotion to giving. In addition to his immense generosity towards ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law, he has also offered substantial gifts to his undergraduate alma mater, UCLA, and the fight to find a cure for ALS.
