SUMMER EXTERNSHIPS

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law’s Summer Externship Program provides students with a first taste of their legal career and an essential part of their legal resumé.ÌýFaculty prepare you with advice about research, writing, and other practice skills designed in response to prior externs' experiences.

The Program integrates critical legal theory learned in the classroom with a fully immersive real-world experience. In your externship you will act in your position at nearly full-time capacity, providing valuable work to your summer employer while gaining invaluable real-world experience.

Summer externships span eight to ten weeks, allowing you to earn three experiential education credits. The Program also features a pre-summer experiential learning-based orientation, priming you to make the most of yourÌý experience, as well as guided written reflections and live online class meetings giving you the opportunity to gain practice insights from a range of legal work settings.
