CLINICS & EXTERNSHIPS

At ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law, we are focused on preparing our students for success in an increasingly competitive legal market. Ìý

Guided by ourÌýWhere Law Meets BusinessÌýphilosophy, our legal education prepares students with academic, professional and practical skills coveted by employers.

Central to this approach is ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s focus on experiential learning. Here, students get hands-on experience tailored to their career interests through our in-house clinics and 330+ externships—including placements in nonprofit, government and corporate settings.

CLINICS

Clinic students develop the legal and professional skills to become effective attorneys all while serving the community and changing lives in our seven in-house law firms.Ìý

As primary advocates for their clients, students interview and counsel, negotiate agreements, structure deals, draft legal documents and appear in court. Clinic students earn credit while representing real clients with critical legal issues under the direct supervision of a full-time faculty member.

EXTERNSHIPS

At ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥, externships are rigorously supervised, semester-long learning opportunities. Students are paired with and meet regularly with a ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ faculty adviser who has expertise in the area of placement. On-site field instructors work with students and faculty to establish and work toward key learning objectives.

Externships are credit-earning and can be tailored to individual career interests. Placements expand beyond the Philadelphia region and across all areas of law.
