Graduate and Professional Student Writing Groups

Students_studying

Intensive writing is a critical component of graduate education. To support this important work, the Grad Center organizes a variety of graduate student writing groups. Because of the varied nature of our graduate student's writing and study group needs, we have the following offerings:

  • Fall and Spring Breakout Groups (days during fall and spring breaks dedicated to providing space, food, and community for writing and studying)
  • Accountability Writing Groups (weekly writing groups with set time and location to provide graduate students a structure for holding themselves and their peers accountable to their writing - ideal for students who are dissertating or writing a thesis)
  • Topical Writing Groups (graduate students are matched with other graduate students whose writing topics are similar to their own)

Click on the registration form below to sign up for the group that best fits your needs.

While you can learn a lot about writing from your peers, the graduate student writing groups are not in place to provide writing tutelage. For one-on-one tutoring with a professional writing tutor, please visit the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Writing Center and set up an appointment.
