HONORS PROGRAM: FITZPATRICK COLLEGE OF NURSING

Each year, 10% of incoming Fitzpatrick College of Nursing students are selected to the University’s Honors Program. 

Ten Honors courses are required to earn a Nursing Honors degree. For the Class of 2027 & beyond, at least 15 credits must be taken within the College of Nursing.

In addition to completing all course requirements, students must  achieve a minimum 3.33 cumulative GPA to earn the Bachelor of  Science in Nursing, Honors.

Intellectual Engagement

Honors Nursing students take the Honors section of NUR 2108-H Pathophysiology during their sophomore year followed by NUR 3122-H Imperatives of Global and Public Health during their junior year. During senior year, Honors students take NUR 4119-H, Leadership Practicum. Additionally, students have the option to complete an Honors Thesis, engaging in undergraduate research, during their senior year.
