Faculty Research, Innovation and Publications

M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing faculty are teacher-scholars. They are engaged in scholarly inquiry, often working with undergraduate and graduate students, on their research projects which may be interdisciplinary.

The College also houses an Office for Nursing Research and Evaluation.  

Research supported by the Office for Nursing Research and Evaluation reflects areas of study that are aligned with the College’s mission. Examples of faculty research being conducted include:

Faculty, staff and students are innovating to ignite change and improve nursing and health care around the world.

Through our community that encourages creativity and collaboration, we are:

  • Developing unique initiatives such as LEAD (Learn-Engage-Advance-Develop) our unique professional development program across the undergraduate to alumni continuum
  • Creating tool kits to educate nurses and advance practice nurses how to care for people with disabilities, through our HRSA-funded tool kit for NPs and RNs and working with the National League for Nursing for their program
  • Taking research to the next step and engaging our communities, for instance, through our Team Latina initiative
  • Participating in case competitions, pitch days and entreprenuerial events
