Dr. Moeness Amin Serves on UK University Defense Research Consortium Steering Group
Dr. Moeness Amin
Moeness Amin, PhD, director of 奶糖直播 University鈥檚 Center for Advanced Communications, has been chosen as an international expert to give independent technical guidance and future directions to a United Kingdom University Defense Research Collaboration (UDRC) Consortium focusing on 鈥淪ignal Processing for the Networked Battlespace.鈥 The UDRC develops research in signal processing with application in the defense industry. It is an academia-led partnership between industry and defense.
The consortium consists of five universities: Loughborough University, University of Surrey, University of Strathclyde, Cardiff University and Newcastle University. Among the companies providing support to the consortium are Thales, Selex ES, National Instruments, Texas Instruments and MathWorks. Dr. Amin鈥 selection is attributed to his three decades of experience in signal processing for defense and security. His work includes a multitude of research projects funded by Department of Defense agencies. Dr. Amin has been recognized by international technical and professional institutions for his pioneering research in the broad area of statistical signal and array processing.
