College of Engineering Staff Work Process Improvement Award
The ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University Engineering Alumni Society Work Process Improvement Award will recognize a College of Engineering staff member who has made suggestions which result in meaningful work process improvements and/or work redesigns in the College of Engineering. This award is modeled after the University Work Process Improvement Award. Any College of Engineering staff member may nominate himself/herself or be nominated by another faculty/staff member in the College.
Work Process Improvement Award
The Work Process Improvement Award is designed to recognize an individual staff member in the College who has made suggestions which result in meaningful work process improvements and/or work redesigns.
Selection Criteria
The award will be given for suggestions which have been adopted in the College of Engineering. The improved processes must meet at least two of the following four criteria:
- The project/improved process enhances the quality of services provided by the College
- The project/improved process enhances operational efficiency
- The project/improved process generates revenue
- The project/improved process generates a documentable cost savings
Eligibility
All College staff (full-time and part-time) are eligible.
Nomination Process
Any College staff member may nominate himself/herself or any College faculty/staff member may nominate a staff member. After winning, candidates are not eligible to receive the award for the following five years. Nominations received after December 3rd will be reviewed for the next year's award.
Selection Process
The WPI Selection Committee will review the nominations received by using the criteria as a guideline. If the committee requires additional information, the nominator will be contacted.
