Dean Joyce E. A. Russell honored with Women of Distinction Award by the Philadelphia Business Journal
奶糖直播, Pa., October 25, 2018 -- The 奶糖直播 School of Business (VSB) is proud to announce that Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, the Helen and William O鈥橳oole Dean of the School of Business, was recently honored with the by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Philadelphia Business Journal annually turns the spotlight on influential businesswomen in the region through its Women of Distinction Awards. This year, the organization received more than 300 nominations--an all-time record. Out of this competitive pool, a panel of judges selected 35 women for this year鈥檚 Women of Distinction class. Factors such as professional achievement, dedication to mentorship and community involvement were some of the most important elements in the selection process.
Dedicated to a lifetime of academic and professional achievement, including teaching, mentoring, and advising, Dean Russell was among this impressive group of winners.

As VSB鈥檚 chief academic officer, Russell recruits, retains, and develops world-class and diverse faculty, students and staff, and works closely with educational organizations and external organizations to carry out the mission of the University. Russell is equally responsible for developing external relationships and fundraising, and actively maintains and expands connections with regional, national and international communities. Russell is a licensed industrial and organizational psychologist and has more than 30 years of experience consulting with both private and public sector organizations. Her expertise is primarily in the areas of leadership and management development, negotiation tactics, executive coaching and change management. She received her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron, Ohio and her BA degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland.
The award winners will be honored at a special reception on Thursday, November 15, at the Sheraton Society Hill. Additionally, each of the 2018 Women of Distinction will be profiled in a special section of the November 16 issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal.
