RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

Student Groups

The Center for Peace and Justice Education houses a number of student groups, aligned with ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s mission to promote a just and peaceful world. Whether addressing human rights, poverty, labor, racism, sexism, the environment, animal welfare, or upholding the value of life itself, these groups work on specific injustices in the world and are not affiliated with any specific political platform.

Hands-On Service

The Center for Peace and Justice Education partners with Campus Ministry to offer a number of opportunities for students to gain first-hand experience on and off campus.

Student-Run Emergency Housing Unit of Philadelphia

(SREHUP) is an initiative of Philadelphia area college-students who shelter people experiencing homelessness. The students offer guests warm meals, a place to sleep, a caring environment, and a variety of holistic programs designed to get them back on their feet. SREHUP also works year-round to advocate for the policy changes that are needed to eradicate homelessness. Stephanie Sena, affiliated faculty member in the Center, is founder and president of SREHUP and connects students with opportunities to get involved.
