RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

Hands-On Service
The Center for Peace and Justice Education partners with Campus Ministry to offer a number of opportunities for students to gain first-hand experience on and off campus.
(SREHUP) is an initiative of Philadelphia area college-students who shelter people experiencing homelessness. The students offer guests warm meals, a place to sleep, a caring environment, and a variety of holistic programs designed to get them back on their feet. SREHUP also works year-round to advocate for the policy changes that are needed to eradicate homelessness. Stephanie Sena, affiliated faculty member in the Center, is founder and president of SREHUP and connects students with opportunities to get involved.

is an after-school program for underserved youth in Chulucanas, Peru. Children receive the supplemental academic and personal support, guidance, and resources necessary to dream and pursue their dreams through education. Emily Felsenthal '10 CLAS founded the organization when she was a student at ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥, and currents students can still get involved.
Internships
Peace and Justice students develop concrete skills through internships during the semester or summer.
The Philadelphia Social Justice Internship is sponsored by the Center for Peace and Justice Education and the Campus Ministry Center for Service and Social Justice. The program provides ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ undergraduates a funded opportunity to do social justice work in the greater Philadelphia region over the summer, accompanied by opportunities for shared reflection among the student cohort.
The College and University also offer resources for students to secure internships, including:
- The Office for Undergraduate Students internship program helps students earn academic credit for their internship

Global Learning
Peace and Justice students participate in study abroad programs around the globe. ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ semester programs of interest include:
- : Explore modern Italian society and culture through contemporary coursework in immigration, politics, social justice and communications. Live in a beautiful and vibrant college town, with opportunities to discover other areas of Italy via excursions to Torino, Bologna, Abruzzo and Lecce.
Numerous other opportunities exist. The Office of Education Abroad and the Center for Peace and Justice help connect students with a study aboard experience that match their interests and classes eligible for the PJ Major or Minor.

In addition to resources and opportunities through the Center, ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ provides support in all aspects of your collegiate experience and beyond through the centralized services of the Office for Undergraduate Students, Office of Education Abroad and Career Center.
