CAREERS AND ALUMNI

A Community of Artists and Scholars

When you enroll in the Theatre program at ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥, you not only become a part of our academic program, but you become a part of our creative community, which extends far beyond ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥'s campus.

continue to work together long after they graduate. Your colleagues from graduate school often become your directors, producers, actors, teachers, writers and collaborators in the "real world." The connections you make in the classroom and on the stage will stay with you throughout your career.

Our ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Theatre Alumni make us proud every day.

Undergraduate Student Groups

VST is the only non-musical theatre group on campus exclusively for undergraduates. We are a student-run organization funded by ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Theatre, meaning the shows are completely student acted, designed, and produced with the exception of one show a year where we hire a professional director. VST is always looking for new talent and casts students from a variety of experience levels in our productions. We also have opportunities for those who thrive behind-the-scenes working in props, costumes, make-up, set, lights, sound design, building, directing, producing, stage managing, and more! .

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Student Musical Theatre (VSMT) is an entirely undergraduate run organization that produces three musicals and one cabaret per year. The goal of our organization is to provide students a means to unleash their theatrical abilities on and off the stage. Whether through performing, set building, sound and lighting design, or other aspects of production, VSMT offers many opportunities to get involved with musical theatre on an undergraduate level. We welcome all students with the desire to express themselves creatively! .

Graduate School

ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Graduate Theatre is one of the few theatre MA programs in the United States that places equal emphasis on scholarly and creative work. The program is designed for students who appreciate both the practical and the academic aspects of theatre, and our students come from a variety of academic backgrounds, spanning the humanities and sciences. The result is a vibrant, diverse community of students with a passion for theatre as the common denominator. Learn more!
