Why Study Mathematics and Statistics?
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics is committed to exemplary teaching and learning, scholarship and service. Our courses are designed to provide every student with the technical background they will need, and to inculcate a love for the "veritas" of logical thought and elegant reasoning. The aim of our Undergraduate and Graduate programs is that our mathematics students can formalize, define, analyze, prove, and communicate mathematical results. At the graduate level, we offer an MA in Mathematics and an MS in Applied Statistics.

It鈥檚 Jacob Rozran鈥檚 job to weed out these fraudulent orders out. As the Manager of Data Analytics for Fraud Risk Management, he uses advanced analytics and data science to recognize red flags 鈥 protecting the company鈥檚 bottom line and preventing phony charges from popping up on its customers鈥 bills.
