LABORATORY SCIENCES MINOR
Science is everywhere! Genetic manipulation, global warming, stem cell research, biases in AI, nuclear energy, user data exploitation by businesses: properly understanding such controversial areas requires a combination of broad humanist thinking and technical science education.
The Laboratory Sciences minor offers Arts and Business students the opportunity to develop laboratory and research skills across three science disciplines. Students are trained in careful analysis for career paths in science-intensive fields and technical writing, as well as research in health, environmental or biopharmaceutical fields.Â
ABOUT THE MINOR
The minor in Laboratory Sciences requires six science courses across three science disciplines with the accompanying hands-on laboratories. The minor is limited to liberal arts, business and nursing students who desire scientific training in experimental methods.
