Queens University offers a special ₤5,000 per year scholarship to a ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ student who wants to earn a master’s degree in creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre.
Writing Workshops
Writers need readers, and the creative writing workshop offers just that: supportive and critique-oriented readers.
A core component of the Minor in Creative Writing is the writing workshop. In workshop courses, students produce original creative pieces, present them to an audience of published faculty and peers, and revise their work to produce polished stories, poetry, and creative non-fiction. For those who wish to grow as writers and perhaps publish their work, this is an invaluable opportunity for audience feedback on works in progress. Workshop courses are offered every semester and are taught by published novelists and poets.
