Biography

Doris Brogan joined the faculty in 1983 and served as the associate dean for academic affairs from 1992 through 2009 and as interim dean from 2009 to 2011.

Brogan’s publications include Stories of Leadership, Good and Bad: Another Modest Proposal for Teaching Leadership in Law Schools; Expungement, Defamation and False Light: Is What Happened Before What Really Happened or Is There a Chance for a Second Act in America; Privacy’s Place at the Table:  A Reflection on Richard Turkington’s Approach to Valuing Privacy and Balancing Privacy Interests; Less Mischief, Not None: Respecting Federalism, Respecting States and Respecting Judges in Diversity Jurisdiction Cases;  Attorney Client Privilege and Conflicts of Interest, Legal Ethics for Trial Lawyers;ÌýLawyers' Responses to Client Perjury Under the New Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct-What Judges Can Expect;ÌýDivorce Settlement Agreements: The Problem of Merger or Incorporation and the Status of the Agreement in Relation to the Decree; and The Domestic Relations Exceptions to Federal Diversity Jurisdiction, Matrimonial Litigation: Across State Lines.

Brogan graduated magna cum laude from ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University School of Law, where she was the research and projects editor of the ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Following graduation from law school, she was an associate attorney in the litigation section of the Philadelphia office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Brogan serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and as chair emeritus of the board of directors of Riverbend Environmental Educational Center.
