IRB Procedure Training

Training: ORP can offer a training on IRB procedure tailored to the different level of researcher experience on campus: undergraduate student, graduate student, or faculty. The presentation will discuss the Cayuse application, review process, and relevant applications. Staff will be able to discuss application specific questions and estimate timelines for the review process.

Student Projects and Research Ethics

Training: ORP can offer a training designed for undergraduate students to think about research ethics in their senior projects. These projects typically do not require IRB review, however topics such as informed consent and data protection are important to consider during the design of any project.

Cayuse IRB Training

Training: ORP can offer individualized or classroom training on Cayuse applications. Staff will be available to answer specific questions and troubleshoot any pain points. Please note this training is for Cayuse IRB, not the sponsored projects version of Cayuse.  To schedule, please email Cait St. Amour at caitlin.stamour@villanova.edu

Workshop: ORP can offer a Cayuse IRB workshop to demystify the protocol submission process. Attend this training if you would like to learn tips and best practices for navigating the online submission program. Staff will also be available to answer specific questions and troubleshoot any pain points. Bring your laptop if you would like to practice with your own submissions, or plan to follow along with projected slides. Please note this training is for Cayuse IRB, not the sponsored projects version of Cayuse. Check back for future dates.

Training: The ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Institutional Review Board and Office of Research Protections offer individualized or classroom training on the Compliance Assistance Program.

Workshop: The ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ Institutional Review Board and Office of Research Protections are pleased to announce the introduction of a new way to support human subjects research – the Compliance Assistance Program. This joint initiative will assist researchers in the conduct of research that is in accordance with IRB approved protocols and help identify needed areas of education for the entire research community.
