THE ALEXANDER AND JOHANNES SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR GRADUATE STUDIES
The Alexander and Johannes Scholarship Fund for Graduate Studies was established by a generous endowed gift to support graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the fund will provide a limited number of $5,000 scholarships to be applied as tuition assistance to a full-time graduate program. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility
The Alexander and Johannes Scholarship Fund is open to domestic students who are newly admitted to a graduate degree program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Students may not be awarded any graduate assistantships or tuition scholarships in other departments or offices at ÄÌÌÇÖ±²¥ University. Preference will be given to students who are eligible for federal financial aid.
Scholarship Terms
Each scholarship will be awarded for one academic year with preference for renewing the award to the same recipient(s) in subsequent years, providing the recipient(s) continues to meet the conditions of eligibility, is in good academic standing, is in good disciplinary standing, and funds are available. Students will be required to submit a letter of thanks to the donor in each year of funding.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the total amount of the scholarship is $5,000, and will be disbursed in two $2,500 increments - one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester. Students must be enrolled in six credits of coursework for each semester. Students who enroll in fewer than six credits, WX or otherwise reduce their course-load below the six-credit threshold forfeit eligibility for grant support.
How to Apply
The application deadline is May 1, 2025. This scholarship is based on merit and demonstrated financial need. Priority will be given to students who fill out a FAFSA for 2025-2026.
